James Hasselbeck is a licensed patent agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and a licensed Professional Engineer in the States of Michigan and Pennsylvania. Mr. Hasselbeck was admitted to practice before the USPTO in 1998. He has more than 20 years of work experience in computer engineering, software development, patent practice, product conception, product design, research and development, and manufacturing.

Mr. Hasselbeck holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA.

He has previously held the positions of Patent Agent, Staff Engineer, Consulting Engineer, Systems Engineer, Process Control Engineer, Project Engineer at companies including Research in Motion (Blackberry), PPG Industries, Daxus, and Fisher Controls. He has also prepared patent applications for major companies including Motorola (mobile phones), General Motors, Ford, and IBM.

Mr. Hasselbeck is member of the Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association (MIPLA- www.mipla.org) and the National Association of Patent Practitioners (www.napp.org).
